PRIVACY CHOICES & DATA DELETION

1. Account Deletion and Data Deletion

If you created an account in a Dargan app, you can request deletion of your Dargan account and associated personal information (subject to legal requirements and School record requirements).

A. In-App Deletion (where available)

Open the app → Setting → Profile Info → Delete Account (or a similar path), and follow the prompts.

B. Email Deletion Request (Web Request Method)

Send an email to policy@dargan.ca with subject “Account Deletion Request” and include: your full name, the email/phone used in the app, whether you are a Parent/Guardian or Driver, and the School name (if known). We may request identity verification before completing deletion.

If you signed in using “Continue with Apple” or “Continue with Google,” deleting your Dargan account does not delete your Apple or Google account.

What we may retain

• Information required by law or lawful requests.
• Information required for security, fraud prevention, and system integrity (e.g., certain audit logs).
• School-controlled records that must be addressed through the School’s process.

2. Privacy Choices; Notifications and Messaging

Service messages may be delivered via push notifications, SMS/text, WhatsApp, and/or email, depending on School configuration and your available user settings.

You can manage these choices by:

• adjusting notification preferences in the app (where available);
• disabling push notifications in your device settings; and
• following opt-out instructions that may appear in messages (for example, replying STOP for certain SMS programs, where supported).

If you opt out or disable messages, you may miss important notices about attendance and pickup. Certain account/security or legally required notices may still be sent where permitted.

3. Access and Correction

Request access to or correction of personal information under Dargan’s control by contacting policy@dargan.ca. If your request relates to School-controlled records, we may direct you to the School.

4. Managing Permissions on Your Device

You can manage permissions in your device settings (Location, Bluetooth, Notifications). If you disable certain permissions, some features may not function as intended.
